Quang Tri - A 10-year-old girl in Dak Lak had to be hospitalized for treatment after being bitten by a monkey while playing in Rao Vinh stream, Cam Lo commune.

On July 7, the leader of Cam Lo Medical Center (Quang Tri province) said that the unit had just received and treated a patient who was attacked by a monkey. "The patient was admitted to the hospital with many wounds in the head and buttocks, and is still being treated at the Surgery Department," informed the leader of Cam Lo Medical Center.

The victim was Bui Thi Nhu Quynh (born in 2015, residing in Dak Lak province). Before that, the child's family went from Dak Lak to Doc Kinh village, Cam Lo commune, to visit relatives. At around 9:00 a.m. on July 3, Quynh and her family went out to visit the Rao Vinh stream area. While moving, the group encountered a monkey standing on the side of the road.

"The monkey was very aggressive, suddenly rushing into Quynh, causing him to fall to the ground, then biting him repeatedly in the head and buttocks. Seeing the child bleeding profusely, the family rushed to take him to the hospital for emergency care, said Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai - Quynhs aunt.

A local resident said that before, there were no wild monkeys in this area, and the monkey's attack on people surprised many people, and it is not clear where the monkey originated.

The leader of the Cam Lo - Dong Ha Forest Protection Department informed that the unit had received the feedback and sent forces to check and verify.
