Vinh Long launches Workers' Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026

Vinh Long - On April 22, the Provincial Labor Federation organized a launching ceremony with the theme "Vinh Long Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity".

The event aims to affirm the pioneering role of the workforce, organized at Lefaso Tra Vinh company.

Attending the event was Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Thai Thu Xuong.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation emphasized the practical significance of the event. He said that this is a peak period for trade union levels to focus on taking care of workers' lives.

Looking back at the achieved results, the Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation affirmed that the Trade Union organization always accompanies workers. According to him, understanding helps build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.

Representative of workers, worker Hua Thi Be Nhi - Lefaso Tra Vinh Industrial Investment and Production Joint Stock Company, Tra Cu commune (Vinh Long province) expressed pride in attending the ceremony, affirming that Workers' Month helps improve production responsibility, labor safety awareness and towards building a safe, sustainable and long-term working environment.

Speaking to direct at the launching ceremony, Mr. Lam Minh Dang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, affirmed that the event is of profound significance, showing the concern of the Party and State for workers and laborers.

He acknowledged that workers and laborers have promoted the spirit of diligence, creativity, overcoming difficulties, making positive contributions to production, stabilizing jobs, improving productivity, and ensuring social security.

He proposed strengthening labor safety, improving the quality of human resources, promoting skills training, caring for life, building a modern working class, adapting to digital transformation, serving sustainable development.

He also respectfully thanked the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for always caring, accompanying, and supporting the province in building a strong trade union organization, taking better care of the lives of workers and laborers.

At the launching ceremony, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and Mr. Lam Minh Dang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, along with leaders of provincial departments and agencies, presented 07 symbolic plaques of Great Solidarity Houses and 300 gifts (500,000 VND/gift) to workers and laborers in difficult circumstances.
