The Vietnam Glory Program in 2025 with the theme "Pride and Aspiration" was held on the evening of June 22, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace.
The program was attended by Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission (TW).
Comrades of the Party Central Committee: Ho Duc Phoc Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Nguyen Dinh Khang - President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), Nguyen Thi Tuyen - President of the Vietnam Women's Union; Hoang Trung Dung - Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine.
Alternate members of the Party Central Committee: Bui Quang Huy - First Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union; Le Hai Binh, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Speaking at the opening of the program, Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, said that 2025 is the year of many important events and anniversaries of the country: the 95th Anniversary of the Party's Founding (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 100th Anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press (June 21, 1975 - June 21, 2025).
Those events are not only a source of pride, but also a reminder for today and future generations about the responsibility to preserve and continue to enhance the glorious and proud tradition of the nation - comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang said.
According to the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, it is even more meaningful when on that heroic traditional foundation, the whole nation is entering a new era of development, an era of rising up with the goal of building a strong and prosperous Vietnam, striving to realize the two 100-year goals of the country.
That aspiration is being realized day by day, hour by hour with will, political determination, solidarity, consensus, and intelligence of the entire Party, people, and army, in which the working class and trade union organizations of Vietnam play an important role.
We are witnessing a strong movement: promoting innovation, comprehensive digital transformation, promoting green economy, circular economy, knowledge economy, sharing economy, developing new productive forces, elevating the domestic value chain... All require persistent efforts, steadfast commitment of all Vietnamese people with the motto: "Proud of what we have, aspiring for greater things".
According to comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang, " Glory of Vietnam" is an event initiated by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2004. Over the past 20 years, the program has honored more than 300 outstanding collectives and individuals across the country, thereby spreading the spirit of dedication, overcoming difficulties, serving the Fatherland, serving the people, arousing national pride, self-respect and the desire to rise up continuously of the Vietnamese people.
The 2025 " Glory of Vietnam" program honors 13 collectives and 6 individuals who are exemplary examples of solidarity, continuous efforts, commitment, dedication, creativity and extraordinary determination.
These are the collectives of the Party Committee, government, and people of localities; the armed forces are on duty to maintain the peace of the Fatherland. They are scientists, teachers, doctors, technical workers, coaches, athletes, and businesses that are at the forefront of innovation... Excellent in laboratories, in factories, on the runway, on the border land of the Fatherland, each collective and individual is a vivid story, inspiring a "creative source line", carrying the aspiration to rise up, contributing to the achievements of an identity and development of a Vietnam.
President Nguyen Dinh Khang affirmed that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, as an organization representing the rights and voices of union members and workers across the country, always clearly identifies: patriotic emulation as a resource, a method and also an goal to promote the socio-economic development of the country.
By organizing practical and effective emulation movements with strong influence, we persistently cultivate sustainable values for the new-age workers: not only good at their job, but also have the desire to innovate, master science and technology, master our own destiny and contribute to the future of the country.
We affirm that, honoring advanced models does not stop at one event but must be a process of nurturing the spirit of competition and innovation in each workshop, production team, each enterprise, educational institution, each locality, each industry - Chairman Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized.
According to the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, that is where every small action has great significance: innovating management thinking, improving equipment, optimizing production processes, improving productivity and ensuring labor safety. In an era of fierce global competition, creative labor capacity has become a national strategic advantage.
"Therefore, we must work together to arouse the aspiration in every worker, every Vietnamese person. To make each person self-aware that: The success of each individual is the success of the unit, enterprise, locality where they live, work and contribute, more broadly the success of the whole country and the development of the country is also an important foundation, an opportunity for each individual to rise up and develop.
The " Glory of Vietnam" program is therefore not simply an event of honor, but also a "national inspiration forum" - a place to connect, foster spiritual values, spread social responsibility, a place to gather the trust, pride and aspiration for development of the nation" - Chairman Nguyen Dinh Khang said.
On the occasion of this solemn event, on behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang expressed his gratitude for the attention, leadership and close direction of the Party and State leaders and personally Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department. Thank you for the effective coordination of departments, ministries, branches, localities, news agencies and newspapers.
In particular, Lao Dong Newspaper was commended as the unit that directly organized and maintained the program with depth, identity and influence in society over the past two decades.
