At ADORA Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. (belonging to Tam Diep Industrial Park, Ninh Binh province), the Company's Trade Union regularly coordinates with the enterprise's Board of Directors to organize direct propaganda at workshops, hang banners and slogans about the harmful effects of tobacco. At the same time, integrate the content of preventing and combating the harmful effects of tobacco into trade union meetings and activities for workers.
Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Tam - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of ADORA Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. - said that the company has developed internal regulations prohibiting smoking in factories and production areas. At the same time, mobilizing union members and employees to sign commitments to implement a smoke-free working environment.

Mr. Dinh Van Nhuong, a worker at GTWILL Vietnam Co., Ltd. (belonging to Gia Van Industrial Cluster, Ninh Binh province), shared: "Previously, I also smoked, but since joining the company, according to regulations, I am not allowed to smoke during working hours. I have been propagated and clearly aware of the harmful effects of tobacco, so I have quit smoking for more than 3 years now.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Long - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation - said that in the past time, trade union levels have actively coordinated with businesses to bring the content of preventing and combating the harmful effects of tobacco into trade union activities, contributing to raising awareness and changing behavior among union members and workers in units and businesses.
Currently, many businesses have built a civilized, safe, smoke-free working environment. Many workers have also proactively quit smoking to protect their own health, colleagues' health and family health.
To continue to spread the movement to build a smoke-free working environment, communication work is focused on being implemented right at businesses, industrial parks, worker dormitories and on social networking platforms to help workers clearly identify the advertising and enticement tricks of new generation tobacco products.
Along with that, the trade union organization continues to replicate the model "AGENCIES, units, and businesses without cigarette smoke"; including the content of preventing and combating the harmful effects of tobacco in the criteria for building cultural agencies and businesses that are civilized, safe, and friendly to employees.
Cultural and sports activities to improve the spiritual life of union members and workers are also promoted, contributing to building a healthy lifestyle, saying no to tobacco and addictive substances.
Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation will strengthen coordination with the health sector, functional agencies and businesses in propaganda, inspection, and supervision of the implementation of the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms.
