Delete unused apps and games
One of the fastest ways to free up space in an emergency situation is to delete unnecessary software. To remove an app directly from the Home screen, press and hold an empty part of the screen until all the app icons start jiggling. Then, tap the minus sign (-) that appears in the upper left corner of the app icon and select “Delete App” from the pop-up menu to remove it.
To get a better idea of which apps take up the most space, open the "Settings" app and select "General," select "iPhone Storage," then scroll down to the list showing file sizes below. next to each application's name.
You can also have your iPhone automatically uninstall rarely used apps and games when memory begins to run out.
Clean up the “Deleted Photos” folder
The Photos app retains deleted photos and videos for up to 30 days, in case you didn't mean to delete them or change your mind after a few days. This means they don't actually disappear immediately after you decide to delete them.
To completely erase deleted media, open the Photos app, go to the Albums page, scroll down and select “Recently deleted photos,” then select the photos you want to permanently delete.
Pay attention to the size of downloaded files
You can also prevent memory problems by avoiding downloading large files.
Open the App Store, find the game or app you plan to download, then scroll down to the “Info” section of the page. Find “Size” to see the size of the download.
Note that some applications and games often require additional data to be loaded when first started.
Use online backup tools
You can transfer videos and photos to your iCloud account. That way, they won't take up space on your phone but will still be easily accessible (as long as you have an internet connection).
Note that you only have 5GB of free iCloud storage. If you need more, you'll have to pay for additional storage.
Or you can use Google Drive (which offers 15GB of free storage).
Change photo and video format settings
Besides apps and games, photo and video libraries can take up a lot of space when combined together. You can slow down memory from filling up by choosing format settings that reduce overall file size.
Higher resolutions and frame rates will produce larger files. You can also turn off “HDR Video” (High Performance) in "Settings" to save more space for each video.
Thus, you can easily avoid the situation of full iPhone memory by adjusting your habits and settings.
