8 individuals receive medals for the cause of Vietnamese Science and Technology Innovation

On the afternoon of August 21, the Vietnam Technical Innovation Support Fund presented medals to individuals with outstanding achievements in supporting scientific and technological innovation talents.

On August 21 and 22, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology in coordination with Hai Phong City organized a conference to promote the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation to promote Vietnam's socio-economic development. Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee attended and chaired the conference.

During the working session on the afternoon of August 21, scientists who won the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award discussed a number of contents such as applying non-traditional security technology, promoting the role of science and technology organizations in the new era; solutions to innovate content and methods of operation to attract intellectuals, scientists, and creators to participate in awards...

Also at the program, the Vietnam Technical Innovation Support Fund (VIFOTEC) awarded the Medal for Vietnam's Science and Technology Innovation to 8 individuals with outstanding achievements in supporting creative talents in the 2024-2025 period. The Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations presented flags to 11 collectives with outstanding achievements in propaganda, dissemination, and application of works that won the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award.

Earlier, on the same morning, delegates assessed the initial results of implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW and oriented actions in the coming time. In addition, information on the results of competitions and awards honors intellectuals, scientists and creators. As of 2024, 3,252 projects nationwide have participated in the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award, of which 1,116 projects won awards. The National Technical Innovation Competition recorded 5,417 participating solutions, with 787 solutions honored. The national creative contest for adolescents and children attracted 10,080 topics, of which 1,743 topics won prizes...

Within the framework of the conference, delegates visited and learned about the initiative exhibition area, technology solutions that have been successfully applied, bringing clear socio-economic efficiency, contributing to increasing liveliness, visualionality and stimulating and spreading the spirit of innovation in the community. This is the opening conference in a series of conferences held in all three regions of the North, Central and South, with special significance to realize the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
