More than 150 delegates attended the conference to disseminate the results of implementing Resolution 57

On the morning of August 21, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee coordinated with the Hai Phong City Party Committee to organize a conference to disseminate the results of implementing Resolution 57 - NQ/TW.

The conference was attended by Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, leaders of Hai Phong City, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and President of the Vietnam Association. This is the opening conference in a series of conferences held in all three regions of the North, Central and South, with special significance to realize the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission said that the world is entering the digital age with unprecedented growth rates. Artificial Intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things, blockchain... are reshaping production methods, governance models, lifestyles and development methods. Previous countries are making full use of science, technology and innovation as central resources, a key driving force for development.

After nearly 40 years of renovation, Vietnam has achieved many great achievements, but still faced many difficulties and challenges such as low labor productivity compared to the region, low technology absorption capacity of enterprises, high-quality human resources in strategic fields that have not met requirements...

In that context, Vietnam needs a breakthrough strategy, not only in technology, but also in thinking, institutions and resources. Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW has clearly identified science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as the main driving force to develop the country quickly and sustainably, realizing the aspiration to make Vietnam a developed country with high income by 2045.

The 2025 Law on Science, Technology and Innovation is a major institutional step forward, creating a favorable legal corridor, opening up breakthrough financial mechanisms and policies, strongly encouraging investment, research, and application of new technologies, especially in priority areas.

The conference is not only a forum for policy updates, but also a place for frank exchanges on practices, sharing models and experiences, and identifying the focus of action for each region, locality, sector, and field in implementing the Resolution.

At the conference, delegates focused on evaluating the initial results of implementing Resolution 57 and action orientations for the coming period; introducing the Law on Science, Technology and Innovation in 2025 along with breakthrough financial mechanisms; suggesting a strategic technology portfolio for localities; reporting on the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award... The presentations focused on sharing about the application of platform technologies: AI, Big Data, IoT, Blockchain. Scientists who won the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award in 2025, outstanding localities share experiences, practical lessons and successful application models.

Also at the program, delegates visited and learned about the initiative exhibition area, technology solutions that have been successfully applied, bringing clear socio-economic efficiency, contributing to increasing liveliness, visualionality and stimulating, spreading the spirit of innovation in the community.
