In order to continue supporting customers in responding to the ever-changing cybersecurity context, A10 Networks (New York Stock Exchange trading code - NYSE: ATEN) has acquired ThreatX Protect's assets and key human resources, thereby expanding its cybersecurity portfolio with web application protection and API (WAAP) solutions.
After this deal, A10's stock price is expected to increase in 2025. Currently, attacks on web applications and application programming interfaces (API) are increasing rapidly, becoming a major threat to businesses.
ThreatX Protect offers an advanced WAAP solution that uses behavioral records and risk assessments to protect businesses from new threats, including risks related to AI applications - helping to add protection to AI firewalls. Provided as software as a service (SaaS), ThreatX Protect integrates many important features such as API protection, bot management and new generation web application fireworks.

In addition, Mr. Dhrupad Trivedi also said that the strategic goal is to help businesses protect their apps and networks from increasing threats, while ensuring the safety of future AI applications. Adding WAAP to the solution portfolio helps customers further strengthen their cybersecurity situation.

After this deal, the remainder of ThreatX will be restructured and launched as Run Security, in which the TX Prevent solution will be improved and rebranded as RS Prevent - an advanced security platform based on eBPF technology.
Expand hybrid security strategy for apps and API. Accordingly, ThreatX Protect supports A10 Networks' strategy in helping customers deploy hybrid security solutions, application and API protection in all environments, from public cloud, personal cloud, co-location data center to on- premises system. The A10 Defend portfolio currently includes DDoS protection solutions, DDoS threat intelligence, and web application protection. With the addition of WAAP, A10 Networks now provides a comprehensive security platform with tight integration, providing high performance and optimal security for critical applications.
