bee is the unit behind the $49.99 wristband product, similar to a Fitbit watch, integrated with a micro and AI technology. The device can automatically listen to conversations throughout the day, then synthesize information to create summaries, tasks lists, and reminders for individuals.
bee CEO Maria de Lourdes Zollo announced the deal on LinkedIn on July 22. In the post, Ms. Maria de Lourdes Zollo wrote: When we started a business with bee, we imagined a world where AI was truly individual, where technology not only understood you but also accompanied and improved the quality of your life. Now, that dream has found a new home in the Amazon.
Amazon spokeswoman Alexandra Miller also confirmed the merger of bee, but declined to disclose the financial terms of the deal.
