According to a quick report from the People's Committee of My Ly commune, the flood on the night of July 21 - 22 caused great damage to houses, property, and the traffic system in the area.

Preliminary statistics show that 231 houses were damaged, of which 109 houses were damaged over 70%, 122 houses were damaged 50-70%.

My Ly 2 Primary School had many items such as classrooms, desks, chairs, TVs, books and school supplies of students lost.

National Highway 16 is a vital route through the commune that has been broken in many sections and completely cut off. Many roads in the area were seriously eroded, many villages were isolated.

About 150 information cables were broken, causing communication signals to be almost completely lost in many areas.

The electricity industry statistics show that 116 low-voltage poles were broken, 550m of high-voltage lines were broken, affecting daily life and rescue work.

The total damage caused by floods in the area is estimated at 28-30 billion VND.

Therefore, the People's Committee of My Ly commune recommended that the People's Committee of Nghe An province and departments, branches and sectors soon send forces to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

In which, priority is given to repairing houses, restoring traffic, electricity, telecommunications and essential works to stabilize people's lives.
