Apple is said to be preparing to equip OLED screens for iPad mini and MacBook Pro. If this information is correct, switching from LCD to OLED will help the device display darker colors, higher contrast and deeper black reproduction.
Currently, most Apple devices such as iPhone, Apple Watch and iPad Pro use OLED screens, while iPad mini and MacBook Pro still use LCD screens with LED or mini-LED backlight.
With the iPad mini, some previous rumors suggested that the device could use the A19 Pro or A20 Pro chip, along with improved design such as vibration speakers and water resistance. This device is predicted to be launched in September or October this year.
Meanwhile, the MacBook Pro OLED is having much debate about the launch date. There is information that this model may appear this year, but there are also leaked sources saying that the product will not be launched until early 2027.
Notably, after the iPad mini and MacBook Pro, the iPad Air could be the next device to be upgraded to OLED in 2027.
