Apple Vision Pro is not a popular device with large sales like other products of the company.
Lower sales have created new challenges for Apple's supply chain, and they're still working to fix the problem.
According to sources involved in the production of components for the headphones, Apple cut orders for the Apple Vision Pro earlier this summer, The Information reported.
Regarding the assembly of Apple Vision Pro, Luxshare - a company specializing in manufacturing electronic components has reduced production to about 1,000 components per day. According to the report, Apple has informed Luxshare that production may have to stop in November this year.
One reason Apple might cut production and use up existing supplies is that it is developing a new, cheaper model for consumers.
A second-generation model of the Apple Vision Pro is also expected to launch, with production expected to begin in the second half of 2025. If that’s the case, inventory of the first model could be enough to meet demand until the new version launches.
Apple previously sent out surveys to early adopters of its Vision Pro virtual reality headset, asking them to share their experiences on issues like comfort, use cases, and more.
Apple also asked users what features they planned to use when they first purchased the Vision Pro, and whether they still use them. There were also questions about satisfaction with various aspects, including durability, weight, battery life, and screen resolution.
