On the morning of July 10, the Hanoi People's Council continued its 25th session, dismissing and electing additional members of the City People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.
At the session, the delegates passed a Resolution to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Quoc Duyet, former Deputy Minister of Justice of Hanoi Capital, from the position of Member of the City People's Committee, to take on a new assignment.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Son, member of the City Party Committee, Director of the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology, to take up the new assignment.
Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Quan, Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions (former Head of the Hanoi Ethnic Minorities Committee), took on the new assignment.
At the same time, the City People's Council elected 4 comrades to the City People's Committee, including: Major General Dao Van Nhan, Commander of the Hanoi Capital Command; Mr. Le Thanh Nam, Chief of Office of the Hanoi People's Committee; Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Nguyen Sy Truong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.
The personnel improvement is carried out to ensure the continuous leadership and direction of the City People's Committee in the fields of national defense, security and local socio-economic development.
Previously, on June 14, 2025, the Minister of National Defense issued Decision No. 268/QD-BQP on the appointment of Major General Dao Van Nhan, Deputy Commander in Chief of the Hanoi Capital Command, to hold the position of Commander of the Hanoi Capital Command.
Then, on June 22, 2025, the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee issued decisions on receiving and appointing officials:
Receive and appoint Mr. Le Thanh Nam (born in 1971), Deputy Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Organization Committee to work at the Hanoi People's Committee Office, holding the position of Chief of Office of the Hanoi People's Committee;
Receiving and appointing Mr. Tran Anh Tuan (born in 1977), member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Son Tay Town Party Committee to work at the Department of Science and Technology, holding the position of Director of the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology;
Receiving and appointing Mr. Nguyen Sy Truong (born in 1977), Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, to hold the position of Director of the Hanoi Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.
