
A new group called Answers, Knowledge, and Information was formed to build an answering tool that can answer questions using data collected from the entire web. The tool could be developed as a standalone application, or integrated directly into Siri, Safari browsers, or other Apple services, according to Techcrunch.
Apple is also recruiting personnel for this project, prioritizing candidates with experience in the field of search algorithms and search engine development.
Although Apple has previously integrated ChatGPT into Siri, personalized upgrades and AI support for voice assistants are still constantly delayed. At the same time, Apple may have to adjust its current search agreement with Google, especially after the search giant failed in a recent antitrust lawsuit.
