According to updated information, test users will soon be able to install this version on their iPhone.
Apple is expected to introduce iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26 and many other operating systems at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025 event taking place on June 9. This year's update is expected to bring significant design changes, along with a series of new features, especially upgrades related to Apple Intelligence.
Traditionally, Apple often releases a developer beta right after the end of the WWDC opening speech. This year is expected to be no exception, meaning the first beta of iOS 26 will be available on June 9.
However, the first day's beta was only for users who registered to receive updates for developers. Regular users who want to test will have to wait longer, usually in late June or July, when the Public Beta versions are officially released.
Like previous years, the first beta may not include all the features introduced at WWDC. Some features will be perfected and added in later updates such as iOS 26.1 or 26.2.
Apple also notes that initial beta versions may have errors and affect device performance. Users are advised to only install it on sub-devices dedicated to testing.
