Apple is preparing to introduce a completely new interface called "Solarium" for iOS 19, macOS 16 and other platforms at the Worldwide Developers Conference WWDC, taking place from June 9 to 13.
This change is expected to bring a more modern, synchronous and intuitive look to Apple's software ecosystem.
According to Bloomberg's Power On newsletter, "Solarium" is the internal name given by Apple for the new interface, inspired by the natural light-filled glass room space. This reflects the open, light and modern design orientation, similar to what has appeared on visionOS - the operating system for Apple's virtual reality devices.
Previously, some rumors predicted that iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16 would inherit the design style of visionOS. Notable changes include symbols designed in a round squircle, transparent glass components, and floating elements that increase visual depth.
The main theme of WWDC 2025 will likely revolve around consistency and unification of user interfaces. Apple's goal is to provide a unified experience when users perform the same task on many different devices, from iPhone, iPad, Mac to Apple Watch and Apple TV.
Therefore, not only iOS, iPadOS and macOS are updated, but tvOS, watchOS and visionOS will also receive separate adjustments to integrate into the new design overall.
A leaked video in April, said to simulate the new interface of iOS 19, has caused a heated discussion among technology enthusiasts. Despite mixed opinions from sources, experts agree that Apple is ready to comprehensively refresh its interface - something users have long been waiting for.
With WWDC approaching, the community is watching every move of Apple. The launch of the "Solarium" interface promises to mark an important step forward in the strategy of unifying user experience across the entire Apple ecosystem.
