From traditional markets to the digital environment
In Tan Tien commune, many small traders in Vam Dam and Tan Tien market have used QR codes to receive payments. The buying and selling of capital mainly using cash is gradually adding new transaction methods.
According to Mr. Doan Chi Linh - Vice Chairman of Tan Tien Commune People's Committee, Ca Mau locality currently has 118 business households, 1 cooperative, 17 cooperative groups. Non-cash payment has been expanded in business operations; 100% of eligible business households and cooperatives have registered to use electronic invoices.
12 community digital technology teams with 60 members are also supporting people to access technology, in which union members and youth play a core role.

Changes from the grassroots level are being set by Ca Mau in a larger goal: by 2030, the digital economy will account for 20% of the province's GRDP.
In addition to this goal, Ca Mau strives to increase the human resources of science and technology to 12 people/10,000 people; the number of intellectual property registration applications increases by an average of 15% per year. The province aims to have at least 12 registration applications and 10 useful inventions and solutions with local addresses; develop at least 12 collective marks and geographical indications for specialty products, OCOP and local specialties.
Bringing technology into key economic sectors
According to the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, businesses and producers are increasingly interested in technical innovation, technology, digital transformation, especially the application of artificial intelligence. Technology is identified not only as serving management but also directly affecting productivity, quality and competitiveness of products.
Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan said that the province will focus on raising awareness and popularizing digital skills through "Digital Literacy", community digital technology groups. The Provincial-level Startup and Innovation Center (CiNEC) is being consolidated, promoting links between the State, scientists and businesses.

Ca Mau also standardizes data in the direction of "right, sufficient, clean, living, unified, shared", strengthening the application of AI, IoT, and Big Data in management and operation.
Digital infrastructure, digital platforms, digital data, electronic payments, and digital logistics are invested synchronously, accompanied by the requirement to ensure network safety and security. The province will effectively operate the Network Information Security Monitoring System (SOC), regularly review vulnerabilities, conduct incident response drills and protect key information systems.
Technology human resources are also focused on, especially in the fields of digital technology, data management, clean energy, seaports and logistics. The budget for science and technology activities is guaranteed to be at least 3% of total recurrent expenditure.
Along with digital transformation, Ca Mau orients to bring modern technology into its strengths such as high-tech agriculture, renewable energy, marine economy, ecotourism; promoting green economy, circular economy...
The province proactively attracts intellectual resources, technology, and capital from research institutes, universities, and technology corporations at home and abroad. These are considered additional resources for Ca Mau to improve productivity, competitiveness and expand growth potential in the new period.
