URGENT handover of land
On September 11, the working delegation of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee led by Mr. Pham Van Thieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of Working Group No. 3 - inspected the progress of a number of key transport projects in Bac Lieu, Hiep Thanh, Vinh Trach wards, and Hoa Binh commune.
The inspection team of 3 projects includes the Inner Ring Road - Bac Lieu city (phase 1); Outer Ring Road - Bac Lieu city (phase 1); Hoa Binh 2 Bridge and the road connecting to Giong Nhan - Go Cat road.
According to the Ca Mau Provincial Traffic Construction Project Management Board, the Outer Ring Road - Bac Lieu City Project (phase 1) reached nearly 35% of the volume, disbursing 48.8% of the 2026 plan. The contractor has filled K95 sand 7.965/9.547km, and at the same time deployed the installation of steel reinforcement and molds for the M2 abutment of Ong Bon bridge.
The Belt Road project - Bac Lieu city (phase 1) reached 19.7% of the volume, disbursed 40.86% of the plan. The contractor has filled sand K95 for 1.1/1.7km, poured concrete for the box culvert body along the center line reaching 206/280m, focusing on leveling the ground, pressing culvert piles at the end of the route.
The investor proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct Vinh Trach and Hiep Thanh wards to strengthen mobilization and completely handle the remaining site, completing handover in September. This is an important requirement for contractors to be able to organize synchronous construction throughout the route.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper recorded 2 ring road projects in Bac Lieu area with a total capital of more than 1,700 billion VND, of which the Outer Ring Road Project has basically completed most of the site clearance work, while the Inner Ring Road Project is still facing obstacles.
Review each item, maintain the quality of the project
For the Hoa Binh 2 Bridge Project and the connecting road to Giong Nhan - Go Cat road, the implemented volume reached 22.22%, disbursed 33.1% of the 2026 plan. The project is under construction smoothly, 100% of K90 sand pumping has been completed.
The contractor has completed mass piles of piers T3, T4 of Hoa Binh 2 bridge; mass pile pressing of abutment M1 reached 8/24 centers. At Chua Phat bridge, mass piles of abutment M1, piers T1, T2 have been completed.
The Hoa Binh 2 Bridge project and the road connecting to Giong Nhan - Go Cat road are 2.5km long, including one bridge, with a total investment of more than 298 billion VND, implemented in the period 2022 - 2026.
The Outer Ring Road project has a total investment of more than 1,440 billion VND, 9.547km long, implemented in the period 2021 - 2027. The route connects Nguyen Van Cu street in Bac Lieu ward with the Cao Van Lau street intersection in Vinh Trach ward.
The Inner Ring Road project has a total capital of more than 314 billion VND, about 1.7km long, a scale of 6 lanes, a design speed of 50km/h, implemented in the period 2022 - 2027.
At the inspection, Mr. Pham Van Thieu acknowledged the working spirit of engineers and workers at the construction site, and at the same time requested departments, branches, and localities to strengthen coordination and proactively remove arising problems.
The investor and contractor are required to review and develop detailed progress to each item, strictly implement commitments in the contract. Accelerating progress must go hand in hand with ensuring quality and safety of the project.
The above projects are in the group of transport projects that Ca Mau province is monitoring and urging progress.
Previously, the province had requested to focus on removing obstacles in land and materials, thereby promoting the disbursement of public investment capital and soon completing infrastructure to serve socio-economic development.
