From technology concerns to QR code scanning
On September 15, the Ca Mau Provincial Women's Union coordinated with Agribank Bac Lieu Branch, VNPT Ca Mau, Department of Industry and Trade and Hoa Binh Commune People's Committee to launch the "4.0 Market - Cashless Payment" model at Hoa Binh market.
Small traders are instructed on how to use QR codes, transfer money and experience electronic payment methods right at the booths.

Ms. Nguyen Hong Phuong, a small trader at Hoa Binh market, said that in the early days, many people were still confused because they were not familiar with technology, used to using cash, and even worried about mistaken transfers or being scammed.
After a period of propaganda and guidance, small traders gradually realized that non-cash payments help transact quickly and accurately, limiting risks when having to keep or count cash.
This model not only helps trade become faster and safer, but also contributes to building a modern and civilized commercial culture" - Ms. Phuong shared.

Vice Chairman of Hoa Binh Commune People's Committee Tran Viet Thuy said that the 4.0 Market model helps bring digital transformation closer to the people. From transactions mainly in cash, small traders and buyers gradually form the habit of using QR codes, transfers, and electronic payment methods.
Not only payment, but also opening up digital sales
According to Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Linh - Chairwoman of the Ca Mau Provincial Women's Union, digital transformation is no longer a distant story but must start from things close to the people, close to the people so that people can clearly see the benefits and use them every day.

Successful digital transformation is not about how much software or equipment we have, but whether people can use it, whether it is more convenient, and whether life is better or not," Ms. Linh said.
From the 4.0 Market model, Ca Mau aims to expand the application of technology in commercial activities. QR codes are not only used for payment but can also be used to introduce the origin of goods, promote local products, OCOP products; connect sales on digital platforms.

This is also a direction to help business households gradually adapt to the digital trade environment, improve digital skills and expand customer access.
Vice Chairman of Hoa Binh Commune People's Committee Tran Viet Thuy said that the locality determines that digital transformation must be implemented practically, with people and businesses as the center. The consensus of small traders is the foundation for the model to be maintained and expanded.

Bringing digital payments into traditional markets not only changes the way of paying for an item, but also gradually creates new transaction habits, contributing to bringing 4.0 technology into life and business operations at the grassroots level.
