OpenAI has just introduced a new feature called "Tasks" in the experimental version on ChatGPT, allowing users to set reminders for upcoming tasks.
This feature supports both one-time and recurring reminders, with flexible setup via natural conversation language.
ChatGPT can handle many tasks like sending a weekly world newsletter, providing a short 15-minute daily workout, reminding you to complete tasks like practicing a foreign language, sending daily jokes, planning dinners, or reminding you of important events like birthdays.
"Today, we're launching the beta version of Tasks — a new way for users to ask ChatGPT to do things in the future. Whether it's a one-time or recurring reminder, just say what needs to be done and when, and the system will automatically handle it for you," said OpenAI.
Users can create reminders directly in the chat or through the "Tasks" page in the personal profile menu. Currently, the feature is being tested for Plus, Pro, Teams accounts and will be expanded to all users with ChatGPT accounts in the future.
