The event was organized by the City's Trade and Investment Promotion Center in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, to answer the difficulties and problems of businesses in Ho Chi Minh City in the field of science and technology.
This is the 265th Live Dialogue Conference of the Business - City Government Dialogue System, demonstrating the strong commitment of the Ho Chi Minh City government to accompany, listen and remove obstacles for the business community.
The conference attracted more than 200 delegates representing departments, branches, People's Committees of wards, communes, special zones, enterprises in the city and press agencies to attend.
The organizing committee received and answered more than 40 questions and recommendations from businesses, revolving around many practical contents, accurately reflecting urgent issues in the process of operation and development of science and technology.
At the event, businesses in the science and technology sector raised many practical issues, demonstrating the proactive spirit and desire to accompany the city in promoting the innovation ecosystem.
The group of questions focused on the following contents:
- Policy to support investment and select priority technology in the fields of green economy, circular economy, and digital transformation technology; propose criteria for selecting new, exclusive, and highly commercialized technology.
- Mechanism for evaluating intellectual property, digital assets and financial support policies, credit for businesses based on intellectual property.
- Sandbox mechanism for innovative startups, helping to test new ideas and products in a flexible policy environment.
- Guiding the process and procedures for enterprises to propose initiatives and policies for developing the science and technology sector to state management agencies.
- Corporate income tax incentives, instructions for setting up a Science and Technology Development Fund, and other tax exemptions for science and technology enterprises.
At the Conference, representatives of the Department of Science and Technology and related departments and branches directly answered questions, clarified the legal basis, procedures and support policies. Many issues were discussed and resolved right at the conference, demonstrating the spirit of openness and cooperation between the government and the business community.
