Google continues to step deeper into the field of artificial intelligence for businesses when launching Gemini Enterprise. This is a comprehensive AI platform for businesses, considered the latest effort of the US technology group in competition with Anthropic and OpenAI in the AI tool market at the workplace.
At its launch event on Friday (local time), Google announced the first list of customers using Gemini Enterprise, including figurema, Klarna, Gordon Foods, Macquarie Bank (Australia) and Virgin Voyages, the cruise ship that deployed more than 50 AI agents to automatically perform tasks in the Gemini system.
According to Google, Gemini Enterprise is the next step forward from the company's previous efforts to bring AI to the corporate environment.
Although the name Gemini was used in Google Workspace packages, this version is not a supplementary utility but a standalone platform under Google Cloud, designed for businesses to build, deploy and manage their own AI assistants.
Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian described Gemini Enterprise as a new door to AI at the workplace.
This platform allows businesses to create and share specialized AI agents to handle a wide range of tasks in the fields of sales, engineering, marketing, human resources and finance.
In particular, these agents can access and analyze information from the internal system, combined with Google's AI tools such as Code Assist and Deep Research, helping to unify workflows in a single environment.
Gemini Enterprise's Chatbot can connect directly to employee data in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, as well as popular applications such as Salesforce and SAP.
In addition, Google provides built-in AI agents, a code-free data analyzer, and a centralized management framework to help businesses secure, visualize, and control all AI activities.
In terms of price, the standard Gemini Enterprise package and the Plus package start at $30 per user per month, while the Gemini Business package (for small businesses and internal departments) costs $21 per user per month, with a 30-day free trial.
The launch of Gemini Enterprise marks Google's strategic move to expand its position in the enterprise AI segment, which is becoming increasingly fierce.
OpenAI's rival now has more than 5 million corporate users with ChatGPT Enterprise, while Anthropic is also rolling out Claud to nearly 500,000 Deloitte employees globally.
By combining cloud infrastructure, Gemini language model and the ability to deeply integrate into work tools, Google expects Gemini Enterprise to become a comprehensive office AI platform, turning artificial intelligence into a real colleague in a modern business environment.
