Impact on linked services
Many people currently use the same phone number to link to bank accounts, e-wallets, social networks, emails or other applications.
If the subscriber number is recovered but has not been updated to a new number or completed the necessary procedures, users may have to spend more time changing contact information on each service.
For accounts that require verification with phone numbers, information updates may need to be carried out according to the separate procedures of each service provider.
Can miss important announcements
Not only used to verify accounts, phone numbers are also a channel to receive notifications from banks, state agencies, service providers and online platforms.
