On July 13, Dak Lak Provincial Police said that the unit is implementing an initiative to use a Chatbot virtual assistant using artificial intelligence (AI) to support the settlement of online administrative procedures in the field of passport issuance.
According to the Immigration Department, the work of issuing passports is characterized by a system of regularly changing legal documents, directly related to the rights and obligations of citizens, foreigners and the responsibility for state management. However, it is still difficult to look up and apply the regulations properly.
To answer questions and guide documents, immigration officers often have to consult directly or through the hotline. During peak times, the number of contacts increases dramatically, easily causing overload and affecting the progress of file processing.
From this practice, the Staff Department in coordination with the Immigration Department has built a Chatbot - an automatic, user-friendly legal Q&A tool, allowing information to be looked up anytime, anywhere.
Chatbot helps digitize the passport issuance process, providing detailed instructions on documents, fees, implementation time... helping people proactively prepare before going to do procedures.
Colonel Tran Binh Hung - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police - said that Chatbot not only helps save time and costs for people but also reduces the burden on officers in consulting and guiding.
This initiative is expected to improve service quality, increase people's satisfaction and demonstrate the proactiveness of the police force in applying technology.
In the coming time, the Provincial Police will continue to complete, test and put Chatbot into official operation, ensuring easy access and easy use for all citizens who need to make a passport.
