With this tool, users can design their chosen outfits to share with the community or find inspiration for personal style.
To use it, users choose the product they want to coordinate outfits with and click the pull-up icon on the screen. The application will open up many customization options such as: add color backgrounds, adjust image size and positioning. Current layout models are also integrated to support users.
Notably, all products appearing in the photos can be purchased directly on Depop. If an item is sold out, the system will suggest a replacement option. This not only helps buyers easily visualize how to combine clothes and accessories but also opens up opportunities for sellers to access.
Users can also share their photos on social media platforms such as Pinterest or Instagram. This is considered a strategy targeting Gen Z customers - those who already prefer fashion photos. Previously, Pinterest launched the Shuffles app in 2022 and quickly integrated it into the main platform.
Depop said that Outfits is available to all global users. The information was released right after parent company Etsy released its Q2/2025 report, showing that Depop's total goods revenue (GMS) increased by 34.7% over the same period, bringing the platform closer to the revenue target of 1 billion USD.
Meanwhile, rival Mercari recorded a total value of goods (GMV) of 728 million USD in the fourth quarter of 2024, showing increasingly fierce competition in the fashion e-commerce market.
