Can a new phone be charged for 8 hours?
Starting in 2016, phone lines on the market used Li-ion batteries to replace old batteries. With this change, phone manufacturers no longer emphasize that newly purchased phones must be charged for 8 hours as before.
manufacturer Sony recommends that when buying a new phone, users do not need to charge the battery for the first 3 times for 8 hours because it "not really necessary and does not bring any effect".
How to charge a new phone?
According to technology experts, when you first buy a phone and use it for the first time, you should use up all the available batteries until the battery bao is low (usually below 20%) before charging the phone. Do not charge immediately upon purchase and do not let the battery depreciate to 0% when using the device for the first time.
In the first 3 to 5 times using the device, you should charge until the battery is 100% complete, then wait another 5 minutes and remove the charger from the plug. Then, use until the battery reports weakness before continuing to charge. After the first 5 charging times, users can comfortably use it. However, avoid charging your phone while using it, charging overnight or leaving the device low on the battery before charging because that will affect the battery life.
Many Vietnamese smartphone users still maintain the concept of "full charging, full discharge" and often maintain the habit of charging for 8 hours in the first 3 times when buying a device. This concept is only valid for phones that still use Niken batteries with the "memory effect", while current phone lines all use Li-ion or Li-Po batteries, so "full charging - depleted" is even harmful to battery life.
Charging your phone overnight, charging up to 100% and keeping it charged continuously will have a negative impact on the battery because the chemical components in the battery will be transformed and become less efficient at storing energy.
