Accordingly, based on the Constitution, the Law on Organization of the National Assembly and relevant legal provisions; based on the opinions of competent agencies; based on the Report of the Delegation Work Committee; considering the Application for resignation from the duties of a National Assembly deputy dated September 16, 2024 of Mr. Tran Dinh Van, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly discussed, voted by secret ballot to approve and promulgate Resolution No. 1184/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the resignation from the duties of a National Assembly deputy of the XV term for Mr. Tran Dinh Van of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province, constituency No. 3 including: Bao Loc city and districts: Bao Lam, Da Huoai, Da Teh, Cat Tien.
Previously, Mr. Tran Dinh Van (58 years old) was Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province.
At the end of January 2024, after Mr. Tran Duc Quan - Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee - was prosecuted and temporarily detained by the Ministry of Public Security in the Saigon - Dai Ninh project case, Mr. Tran Dinh Van was assigned by the Politburo to temporarily take charge of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee.
In mid-March 2024, Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoc - Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission - was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Acting Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee.
