Spiritual works in the border area
The technical infrastructure and site clearance project for the Kim Thanh park complex in Duyen Hai ward (Lao Cai city, Lao Cai province) is invested by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha. The construction unit is Delta Construction Group.
According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper, the project has a total investment of 70 billion VND on an area of 66.8 hectares, including: Commercial - service area; multi-functional mixed area; spiritual area; green tree system, parking lot and other technical infrastructure works.
Construction will start in November 2023, and the project will be completed within 3 years.
In which, Kim Thanh Tower belongs to the park complex, a key project located in the Northwest Lao Cai tourism development area (including Lao Cai city - Sa Pa town - Bat Xat district).
The project was identified by Lao Cai province as a strategic project to build the city's image as an iconic spiritual destination, combined with the development of spiritual tourism.
At the same time, it is a spiritual work imbued with national cultural identity, a place to cultivate the values of truth - goodness - beauty, noble gestures, and practical actions in the work of preserving and protecting the national border territory.
Inspired by the most unique works of traditional pagoda architecture in Vietnam such as Keo Pagoda, But Thap Pagoda, Kim Thanh Tower is designed with 5 roofs 33m high, surrounding a 13.8m high nine-level lotus tower made of pure copper.
The sacred roof of the tower is decorated with a statue of Amitabha in the artistic style of Phat Tich Pagoda. The four towers in the four directions are 13m high, made of traditional ceramic bricks in the style of the Tran Dynasty Buddha towers, forming a stupa to protect the longevity of the Vietnamese people.
In late September 2024, at the project construction site, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, the project is currently in the process of building the rough foundation frame.
After about 10 months of construction, site clearance work is still being carried out, and the reinforced concrete system to reinforce the tower foundation has gradually taken shape.
