The YouTube channel Front page Tech has just shared built-in photos that are said to be the new interface of the recent iOS 19. Notably, at the end of the video, host Jon Prosser revealed a new feature that is expected to be available on the iPhone 17 Pro series launched later this year. That is filming videos simultaneously with both front and rear cameras.
Accordingly, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will allow users to record at the same time with Selfie and rear camera - a feature already available on some third-party apps such as Snapchat, but now it can be integrated directly by Apple into the default Camera app.
Previously, Samsung also brought the same feature to Galaxy S21 models and later.
Recording double videos live in the Camera app will be especially useful for content creators on YouTube or TikTok, making it easy for them to incorporate facial images into the front scene. Thereby creating an experience of both narrating and sharing experiences vividly.
However, it is unclear why a seemingly simple feature is only available to Apple for the iPhone 17 Pro models, rather than the entire iPhone 17 series.
Apple is expected to launch the entire iPhone 17 series in September this year.
