The lawsuit was filed just hours after Judge Kathaleen McCormicl of the Delaware Court sealed the trial on October 17 and lasted for 5 days.
Elon Musk's move is expected to escalate tensions between the billionaire and Twitter.
The 164-page lawsuit was filed by Elon Musk's legal team in Delaware Court and required "information confidentiality". However, according to court rules, a summary will soon be widely published.
Although the two sides basically agreed to the trial on October 17, there were conflicts over the discovery and access of internal documents and other evidence.
This week, Elon Musk accused Twitter of deliberately delaying in responding to his requests, while Twitter denied that the billionaire was searching for a large amount of data unrelated to the main issue of the lawsuit.
Previously, in April, Elon Musk announced that he would buy Twitter for $44 billion. However, 3 months after signing the deal, the billionaire wanted to end the deal, citing that Twitter did not provide information about the number of fake accounts on the platform he requested.
Immediately afterwards, Twitter filed a lawsuit in Delaware Court, accusing Elon Musk of failing to comply with the settlement and causing a lot of damage to the company. Twitter wants to take legal action to force the Tesla CEO to complete the deal.
In addition, Elon Musk also faces a week-long trial in Wilmington, Delaware, starting on October 24. A Tesla shareholder sued Musk for wasting the company's resources and illegally getting rich with his $56 billion salary package.
Elon Musk was also sued by Luigi Crispo, a shareholder of Twitter. The billionaire violated his trust obligations to Twitter shareholders and must compensate for the losses he caused.
