At the working session, leaders of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee and MobiFone exchanged views on cooperation orientations in the field of digital transformation, assessed the potential and advantages of the province after the merger, and at the same time agreed on solutions to promote the development of digital infrastructure, digital data and the application of digital technology in state management and socio-economic development.
According to the agreement, the two sides will mobilize resources to research and apply digital technology in many fields, contributing to building a modern digital government and improving the quality of service for people and businesses.

Cooperation will be implemented synchronously on pillars including digital government, digital economy, digital society, digital infrastructure and ensuring network safety and security.
The two sides will also study and deploy digital platforms to serve the 2-level local government model; build smart commune and ward models; integrate technology solutions with shared databases, specialized databases and existing information systems to improve management efficiency.
Regarding digital infrastructure, the two sides agreed to cooperate in building a modern and synchronous information and telecommunications technology system to meet the requirements of comprehensive digital transformation.

In which, focus on expanding 4G coverage, developing 5G and gradually preparing for 6G in key areas, industrial parks, and economic zones; building environmentally friendly base transceiver stations combined with public information points; promoting the popularization of smartphones, creating conditions for people to access high-speed broadband internet...
Gia Lai and MobiFone will also promote scientific research cooperation, innovation, and application of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data (Big Data), blockchain, cloud computing and Internet of Things (IoT) to solve problems in education, healthcare, agriculture, tourism, transportation, environment and public administration.
At the signing ceremony, Major General Truong Son Lam - Chairman of MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation - said that MobiFone is no longer a purely telecommunications enterprise but is gradually becoming a digital technology enterprise with the mission of participating in the development of national science, technology and digital transformation infrastructure.

According to Major General Truong Son Lam, Gia Lai is one of the localities that drastically and effectively implements the Central Government's policies on science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation. In addition to the signed contents, the two sides can continue to study and expand cooperation in new technology fields, suitable to the development needs of the province in each period.
At the ceremony, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan highly appreciated MobiFone's transformation from a traditional telecommunications enterprise to a digital technology enterprise with many platforms and solutions to serve national digital transformation.
Mr. Pham Anh Tuan emphasized that the cooperation agreement not only creates opportunities for Gia Lai to access advanced technologies but also creates a foundation for digital transformation to go deeper, effectively meeting the requirements of management, administration and socio-economic development.

Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested MobiFone to continue to study the plan to invest in developing telecommunications infrastructure, expand coverage in remote and isolated communes, areas still facing digital infrastructure difficulties, creating conditions for people to have equal access to digital services and utilities.
Once you are determined to do it, you must do it to the end, do it on the spot, do it substantively and bring specific results. I expect the cooperation agreement between Gia Lai and MobiFone to be quickly realized with practical projects, creating clear changes in the province's digital transformation in the coming period," Mr. Pham Anh Tuan emphasized.
