Gemini Advanced users can now create and share videos thanks to Google's modern video model - Veo 2. Right in Gemini, users can convert text commands to vivid videos.
How to create videos with Gemini
Veo 2 marks a leap forward in the field of video creation, designed to produce videos with high resolution, detail, authenticity and a strong cinematic feel.
Thanks to the ability to grasp practical physical rules and human movements, Veo 2 can create smooth movements for characters, vivid scenes and subtle details in many different themes and styles.
To create a video, users just need to select Veo 2 from the models menu in Gemini (this option location on the interface can change during development). This feature will create an eight-second video with a resolution of 720p, output in MP4 format with a cross-section ratio of 16:9. Google also notes that the number of videos created per month is limited.
According to Google, users just need to describe the scene they envision - whether it's a short story, an visual idea, or a scene - Gemini will realize those ideas
Sharing videos on your phone is also very simple: you just need to press the "share" button to quickly post interesting short videos to popular platforms such as TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
Whisk animate makes photos come alive
In addition to Veo 2, Google also introduced an AI tool called Whisk animate, which allows you to quickly explore and visualize new ideas through both text and image commands.
Whisk animate brings the ability to turn your static photos into vibrant eight-second videos thanks to Veo 2 technology.
Google also said it is implementing important measures to ensure a safe video creation experience. This includes a red teaming process and in-depth assessment to prevent the creation of content that violates Google's regulations.
Every video created with Veo 2 is stamped with SynthID, a type of digital blur embedded in each frame, clearly stating that this is an AI-generated video.
