grammarly launches a series of AI agents to support students and writing experts

grammarly launches a series of AI agents in the grammarly Docs platform, supporting students and experts to write by intelligence, edit quickly and improve efficiency.

grammarmarly, which is known as a familiar grammatical and spelling testing tool, has now taken a new step forward with the official launch of 9 artificial intelligence (AI) agents to support students and spelling experts.

This innovation marks grammarly's ambition to become a comprehensive productivity platform, beyond just the basic language errors testing function.

Comprehensive AI writing space

New tools integrated into grammarly Docs allow users to draft, edit, and fine-tune text in real time.

grammarly's idea is to create smart collaborators to accompany users, helping them write more confidently and effectively, from students preparing homework to experts drafting important emails or reports.

A series of AI agents with separate tasks

Unlike traditional chatbot, each grammarly actor is trained to take on a specific role, providing feedback appropriate to the context while still maintaining the personal style of the writer.

Key tools include:

Reader Reactions: Predict reader reactions and suggest adjustments.

Rewriter: Reinterprete the text in many different tones, from academic to intimate.

AI Grader: Pre-scrutinizing and giving feedback according to academic criteria.

Expert Review: Providing in-depth perspective to improve the quality of the article.

Citation Finder: Identify sources of reference and automatically generate citations.

Proofreader: Check for structure, clarity, and readability.

AI detector: Identify text with signs of AI-generated.

Plagiarism Checker: This is a plagiarism check, scanning the content that is copied or lacking citations.

In addition, AI Chat integrated into grammarly Docs also helps users find ideas, summarize text or ask questions quickly.

narrowing the AI skills gap

The introduction of these factors is especially useful in education. A recent survey shows that only 18% of students feel ready to apply AI in their future work, while 66% of employers expect candidates to have an understanding of AI.

grammarly expects the new tools to help students use AI more responsibly, while training academic integrity.

For example, a student can use Citation Finder to find reference materials, Proofreader to edit, and AI Grader to self-assess before submitting a paper. For experts, Reader Reactions or Expert Review helps save time in writing emails and reports while still ensuring accuracy.

Ready for global users

Currently, AI agents are available in grammarly Free and grammarly Pro (in which AI detector and Plagiarism Checker are only for the Pro package). The Enterprise and Education versions will be rolled out later this year. Although it has only been integrated into grammarly Docs, the company said it will soon expand to more than 500,000 apps and websites that grammarly has supported.

With this move, grammarly not only maintains its position as a popular grammatical tool, but also aims to become a comprehensive AI ecosystem that supports writing, helping users write smarter, more confidently and more effectively at all stages.
