Previously, GPT-5 was introduced as the company's most anticipated product, but its launch received mixed reactions. Some users said they prefer the GPT-4o version. CEO Sam altman admitted that the launch process was "more cumbersome than expected".
To address the concerns, OpenAI said the new update will bring subtle changes, making GPT-5 more accessible. "User will see small but genuine responses like: Good questions or Great start, instead of being complacent," the company emphasized. At the same time, the company also confirmed that internal tests did not record an increase in popularity.
At a recent press conference, OpenAI's leadership focused on talking about the plan after GPT-5. However, it is the difficult start of this version that is still a topic of interest. Vice President Nick Turley commented that the new update is just a "right- so-called" adjustment but will help GPT-5 create a feeling of closer and more user-friendly.
