Account @earlyappleleaks on X social network recently posted a series of CAD photos and claimed that these images "confirm that the iPhone 18 Pro will have a smaller Dynamic Island".
CAD are technical drawings commonly shared between Apple and accessory manufacturers before the device launch. However, the authenticity of these images has not yet been confirmed.
According to shared images, the iPhone 18 Pro is said to have a significantly smaller Dynamic Island compared to current generations. Some sources say that Apple may have put the Face ID sensor below the screen to reduce the area of the front flap.
If this becomes a reality, Apple may take another step towards the goal of creating a full-screen iPhone.
In the past year, many leaked sources have released conflicting information about Dynamic Island on the iPhone 18 Pro. Some sources suggest that Apple will completely remove this design to switch to a perforated camera combined with Face ID under the screen.
However, many other sources believe that Apple is only shrinking Dynamic Island instead of completely removing it.
Journalist Mark Gurman and a number of leaked sources on Weibo previously said that Apple plans to reduce the size of Dynamic Island on the iPhone 18 Pro.
However, similar rumors have also appeared with the iPhone 17 Pro, but in the end this design remained unchanged.
More recently, Digital Chat Station leaked information that Apple will not shrink Dynamic Island on iPhone 18 Pro and this change may only appear on iPhone 19.
According to current leaked information, Apple may launch iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max along with the first folding screen iPhone model in the fall of 2026.
