Within the framework of the event, in the afternoon of the same day, the Summit on Innovation and Startups in Quang Ninh took place with the theme: "Combining global resources to develop a local innovation and start-up ecosystem in the digital economic era".
The forum was attended by more than 450 delegates, including leaders of central ministries and branches, the National Innovation Center (NIC), embassies of some countries such as France, Korea, Japan, Israel, Australia, etc., international organizations, universities, businesses, and the domestic and foreign startup community.
Speaking to welcome the event, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Van Dien affirmed that Quang Ninh is committed to continuing to improve mechanisms and policies in the direction of innovation friendliness; promoting task placement, technology transfer, prioritizing open data and digital infrastructure; developing "testing space" for AI, smart tourism, logistics, cultural - entertainment industry, night-time economy; strengthening regional linkages and international cooperation; accompanying startups through seed capital, legal consulting, connecting experts and investors.
At the event, Quang Ninh officially launched the "Creative startup journey to 2030". Signing a cooperation agreement to promote creative startup activities.
The forum focuses on 3 key areas: sharing new trends in innovation, AI application, e-commerce and digital economy; connecting startups with domestic and foreign investors and venture capital funds; shaping the role of Quang Ninh in the national startup network, towards extensive international cooperation.
In recent years, Quang Ninh has always maintained its position as the leading group in the country in terms of provincial competitiveness index (PCI), administrative reform, digital transformation (DTI) and local innovation index (PII) of Quang Ninh for many years in the top 10 provinces and cities with the highest scores.
Creative startups are identified by the province as an important driving force to promote growth, diversify economic models and arouse the aspiration of the younger generation.
This forum is an activity to concretize Resolution 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo, Resolution 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025, along with resolutions and plans of the Government and Quang Ninh province on developing science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.
This is not only a national event but also an opportunity for Quang Ninh to continue to affirm its pioneering role in building an innovation ecosystem, both integrating internationally and associated with sustainable development, towards the goal of becoming a model, civilized and prosperous province.
