Many research results are directed towards practice
In the first 6 months of 2026, science, technology and innovation activities in Hung Yen province continue to be implemented with many tasks associated with practical issues of the locality.
According to the Department of Science and Technology of Hung Yen province, the unit has reported to the Provincial People's Committee for approval of 46 science, technology and innovation tasks in 2026; and at the same time managed 86 science and technology tasks transferred to 2026.
A noteworthy point is that the research results are increasingly aimed at specific issues in local life and development. In the field of social sciences and humanities, the topics have provided a scientific and practical basis to serve the development of the coastal agricultural economic development plan to 2030, with a vision to 2050.
Some other studies delve into Buddhism, beliefs and spiritual cultural life, thereby providing additional materials for teaching, learning, research as well as the work of preserving and promoting cultural values.
Meanwhile, research on orphans and children in particularly difficult circumstances has built a basic information and data system to serve management, planning and policy implementation in the southern province of Hung Yen.
In the field of medicine and pharmacy, research results on anaphylaxis have been converted into products directly serving training and practice activities. The Department has developed 3 videos, 5 clinical situations and 1 continuous training plan; organized training to update knowledge, practice diagnosis and treatment of anaphylaxis, and issued continuous medical training certificates to 50 doctors and 100 other medical staff.
These results contribute to improving the effectiveness of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of anaphylaxis at medical facilities, and at the same time support the standardization of emergency procedures.
Not only focusing on research, science and technology work is also associated with new issues arising in the development process. The provincial-level scientific conference "Science and Technology and Innovation Ensuring Non-Traditional Security in the Digital Age" attracted about 500 central and local delegates.
The contents discussed focused on the risks and challenges of network security, data, environment, digital economy and high-tech crime, thereby proposing solutions for applying science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in accordance with reality.
Step by step forming a platform for innovation
Along with research activities, Hung Yen is gradually building a foundation for high-tech development and the innovation ecosystem.
Intellectual property work is also being promoted. The province is implementing the Intellectual Property Asset Development Program for the period 2026-2030; and at the same time surveying, evaluating and proposing solutions to problems arising related to geographical indications, certification marks, and collective marks after rearranging administrative units and implementing the 2-level local government model.
Notably, in implementing Official Dispatch No. 38/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister on fighting, preventing, and handling acts of intellectual property rights infringement, Hung Yen achieved 100% of the contents and targets set out, ranking 7th/34 provinces and cities.
The province also implements the Local Innovation Index (PII) in 2026, and develops a plan to organize Techfest Hung Yen and the Hung Yen Provincial Innovative Startup Competition.
These are activities to strengthen the connection between research institutes, universities, and businesses with management agencies in proposing and ordering scientific, technological and innovation tasks.
The above results are contributing to bringing science, technology and innovation closer to the practical development requirements of Hung Yen.
