The next-generation 13-inch iPad Pro model may have two major upgrades including the Apple M5 chip and a minimum capacity of 12GB of RAM.
Statistics show that the M5 chip offers 12.2% more multi-fold performance and 36% faster graphics performance than the M4 chip on the iPad Pro 2024. The current 256GB iPad Pro model has 12GB of RAM, equivalent to iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Meanwhile, iPad Pro models using the M4 chip only have 8GB of RAM for the 256GB and 512GB versions, while the 1TB and 2TB versions only have 16GB of RAM.
Last year, the iPad Pro was upgraded with a OLED screen and a thinner design. This time, leaked information shows that there is no major change in appearance, except for the words " iPad Pro" being removed from the back of the device.
If the leaked information is correct, the iPad Pro M5 will continue to strengthen Apple's position in the high-end tablet segment, where the company has almost no real competitors. The increase in minimum RAM to 12GB shows that Apple is getting the iPad Pro closer to a laptop, especially when combined with the iPadOS operating system that is optimized for productivity.
Although there has not been a breakthrough in design, strong performance and outstanding graphics processing capabilities promise to make the new generation iPad Pro a leading tool for creators, designers and professional content manufacturers.
The source also said that Apple will announce a new iPad Pro line this month, so users may not have to wait too long to confirm all speculations.
