According to Instant Digital leaked information on Weibo, the folding screen iPhone rumored to be named iPhone Ultra may become one of the most repairable folding phones on the market.
This source believes that the "extremely tight basic technical logic" in the internal design of the device has brought clear results. This person predicts that the disassemblement videos after the product is launched will show how Apple arranges components in a simpler and more accessible direction.
According to Instant Digital, the device is said to remove most of the complex flat cables that often appear on folding smartphones today. Instead, Apple is said to be aiming for a more modular structure to simplify disassembly.
The source also reiterated a February report, which stated that the device's motherboard could be placed on the right side instead of the traditional arrangement.
To avoid having to pull the cable across the folding screen for the volume button cluster, Apple is said to have moved these buttons to the top edge of the device to optimize the internal space.
The new component stacking structure is also said to help Apple spend more space on batteries and screens. Instant Digital even suggests that the device may have the largest battery ever appeared on iPhone.
In addition to the interior design, previous leaked information indicated that the iPhone Ultra may be equipped with a 7.8-inch in-screen, a 5.5-inch exterior screen, A20 chip, C2 modem, Touch ID fingerprint sensor and two rear cameras.
Apple's first folding screen iPhone is currently rumored to be launched along with iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in the fall of 2026. However, all information is currently at the leaked level and Apple has not confirmed any details related to this device.
