Developed by the National Data Society, operated by the Data Innovation and Exploitation Center under the National Data Center (Ministry of Public Security), the national blockchain platform - NDAChain is not simply a technology product, but an affirmation of the strategic vision: Vietnam wants to master core technology infrastructure, towards a safe, transparent and sustainable digital economy.
NDAChain was officially introduced at the high-level meeting between the Association and the National Data Center on April 11, 2025, affirming the strategic and urgent nature of this platform.
By July 4, 2025, NDAChain will continue to be selected as one of the 6 pioneering data products at the launching ceremony of the Data Innovation and Exploitation Center at the Ministry of Public Security - becoming a technological pillar for the data ecosystem and digital economy of Vietnam.
For a reliable infrastructure for the country is rising
Vietnam builds a blockchain platform in the direction of "led by the State, businesses participate, people benefit". With NDAChain, the burning issues of a country are rising such as counterfeit goods, online fraud, fake data, non-transparent transactions, and abuse of personal data are being approached proactively, securely and controllingly.
Under the chairmanship of the Ministry of Public Security, NDAChain is not only a technological tool, but also an intermediary protection layer in the national data management system.
This will be a place to authenticate and record data of clear origin, unable to be edited, thereby improving the reliability of all digital interactions from payment, signing contracts, buying and selling goods to providing public services.
core technology solutions: Security, expansion, international standards
In terms of technology, NDAChain is built on a decentralized blockchain architecture, using a flexible consensus model that is consistent with legal and operational requirements in Vietnam.
The system supports international standards, creating a platform for decentralized identification applications (such as NDAKey), traceability (NDATrace), and transparent data transactions.
NDAChain integrates modern security technologies such as multi-layered encryption, unchanged data tracing, multi-factor authentication, and the ability to expand vertically to process millions of transactions per day. Thanks to the modular design, the platform can easily integrate with public service, financial, healthcare, education systems... while still ensuring data speed and integrity.
Lessons from VNeID and the ability to deploy on a national scale
The success of Project 06 and the VNeID system, where more than 100 million Vietnamese citizens were granted personal identification codes in just a few years, is a clear demonstration: Vietnam has the capacity to organize, coordinate and deploy technology on a national scale. VNeID not only indexed identity documents but also became the "key" for many online public services.
NDAChain, with the DID decentralized authentication mechanism, has the potential to become the next layer of data to help people control their identities, make safe transactions and protect their privacy online.
When integrated with the NDAKey application, people can verify organizations or individuals before making online transactions, contributing to reducing online fraud, which is an increasingly serious problem.
Meanwhile, the NDATrace platform allows attaching a unique identification code to each product, ensuring the ability to trace the transparent origin from the manufacturer to consumers, especially in areas such as agricultural products, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods and exports.
