Recently, livestream sales using AI is becoming a new "money-making formula" on TikTok and e-commerce platforms.
On TikTok, more and more livestream sessions of selling clothes, cosmetics, and household appliances are appearing with the host having a natural appearance, fluent speaking ability and being able to respond to comments continuously. However, when observing carefully, it can be seen that the character appearing is not a real person but an avatar controlled by AI, combining synthetic voice and pre-created script.
These livestream sessions usually last for many hours, operating almost continuously, attracting thousands to tens of thousands of views. That's why the number of displayed orders is increasing rapidly.
Under these livestream sessions, many viewers left comments expressing surprise when they learned that the host was a virtual character. Account quocminh123 wrote: "Watching the whole session without thinking it was AI, talking very much like real people, reading comments faster than normal livestreamers".
Recorded at a livestream session on January 6, 2026 of a brand, after more than 3 hours of continuous broadcasting, the livestream room still maintained a stable viewership; the system displayed hundreds of orders that were finalized, the number of interactions increased steadily with each time frame, while the host almost had no delay when responding to viewers' comments.
No longer a small-scale experiment, AI livestreaming is now packaged into commercial service packages and publicly offered for sale on many technology solution websites.
According to information introduced by a unit specializing in providing this service, AI livestreaming is divided into many packages, calculated per broadcast session.

With a 4-hour live session, the price ranges from about 11-37 million VND, depending on the size of the equipment, the number of technical personnel and accompanying services such as image design, marketing support and network infrastructure.
In which, the lowest package is priced at about 10.99 million VND, including a panoramic camera, a full set of equipment for livestreaming, a private internet connection and a basic technical team.
Higher packages, from 20.99-36.99 million VND, add close-up cameras, virtual background design, more displayed product numbers, more technical staff and accompanying services such as email marketing, 24/7 network infrastructure support.
In the high-end package, the provider also introduces image directors, bilingual Vietnamese-English support, the ability to send marketing emails to hundreds or thousands of addresses, along with a high-speed internet system, many backup channels to ensure livestreams are not interrupted.
The detailed listing of service packages shows that AI livestreaming has become a complete commercial service, no longer a spontaneous activity of small individuals.
However, according to many users, AI livestreaming is still posing many problems. Mr. Minh Duc (Hanoi) wondered: "If buying goods has problems, I don't know who to complain to, because livestreamers are not real people. At the same time, most livestream sessions do not clearly inform viewers that they are interacting with AI, easily causing misunderstandings.
The minhphuc84 account believes that this technology also poses a potential risk of being abused to inflate the product's uses, creating false trust, especially for goods related to health and beauty.
Therefore, for this technology to develop sustainably, there needs to be clear requirements on labeling content created by AI, transparency of seller identities and consumer protection mechanisms when risks arise.
