A new feature on One UI 7 promises to help Galaxy users make the most of the power of Gemini.
Gemini has become the default voice assistant on the latest Galaxy S25 series, but now, it is more deeply integrated with Now Bar - a smart interactive utility on the lock screen of Samsung devices running One UI 7.
Now Bar already supports Samsung's virtual assistant Bixby, but with this update, it will have a significant upgrade when combined with Gemini Live.
Accordingly, users will be able to track Gemini Live's status directly on the lock screen, including listening or Pause-off mode.
Gemini Live is a feature that allows users to interact with Google's AI in a natural conversation style. With the new integration on Now Bar, Galaxy phone owners can temporarily suspend or continue working sessions with Gemini Live right from the lock screen, bringing unprecedented convenience.
It is not yet clear whether this feature will be released simultaneously globally or in stages. However, as it has begun to appear on users' devices, a widespread rally looks set to begin soon.
