The new application provides many specialized tools such as creating news feeds using AI, consolidated mailboxes, inventory management and sales performance statistics.
Seller is directly synchronized with Facebook Marketplace, so all posts, transaction history and existing messages will be kept unchanged.
All products created on Seller will also automatically appear on Marketplace. Users can still sell goods right in the Facebook application as before, but Seller is designed to help manage more products and expand business operations more conveniently.
The application has a homepage interface displaying the tasks to be processed such as waiting orders, messages to be responded to, products to be priced and sales figures.
When creating a post, Meta AI will automatically suggest the title, description, category and price after the seller uploads the product image. In addition, the mass posting feature helps create multiple posts at the same time.
Sellers also integrate a unified mailbox, gathering all conversations with buyers according to each product, making it easy for sellers to track. Besides, there is an effective statistics section with indicators such as views, clicks, number of conversations and number of products sold.
According to Meta, Facebook Marketplace currently has more than 1 billion active users per month, with about 430 million products being sold globally each month. The launch of Seller is expected to attract more professional sellers and open up new revenue sources for the platform.
