With just a few dollars per month, users who subscribe to Instagram Plus (3.99 USD/month), Facebook Plus (3.99 USD/month) or WhatsApp Plus (2.99 USD/month) will have access to additional features, such as profile customization, special emoticons and detailed information about Story, and many other features.
In a statement, Naomi Gleit, head of Meta's product division, said that "more interesting features" will be added in the future.
The new "Plus" packages are designed specifically for each application, in which Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus focus more on expressing themselves on social networks, while WhatsApp Plus focuses on personalization and messaging.
However, the company said that the new service packages do not replace their existing service, Meta Verified, which focuses on authentication, anti-anonymity protection and additional support. This may change over time, but currently, Meta has no intention of stopping providing old service packages.
First of all, the new Instagram Plus package provides subscribers with access to additional features, such as the ability to view the total number of people who have reviewed your Story, as well as the ability to create unlimited followers lists for Story, in addition to the "Best Friend" option.
Users can also choose outstanding Story once a week to increase views, extend Story display time beyond 24 hours, preview Story without displaying it as viewer, search their Story viewer list to see who is watching, and more. Users can also post directly on their personal page and select outstanding Story without displaying it on the followers' news feed.
There are also other features such as the animated Super Heart icon for Story, custom application icon, custom font for profile introduction and access to additional staples for your profile.
These features are designed to better serve content creators and those who want to grow followers as well as better understand their audience, but they can also attract regular users.
Facebook Plus provides a set of features similar to Instagram Plus. However, WhatsApp Plus provides other features, such as application topics, custom ringtones, added chats, list customization, premium stickers...
In addition, Meta has also begun testing new registration packages for businesses, content creators and Meta AI users (Meta's artificial intelligence).
For Meta AI users, there will be two service packages being tested - Meta One Plus (7.99 USD/month) and Meta One Premium (19.99 USD/month) with the same features, but the Premium package is more likely to unlock for complex calculation queries.
Meta AI will remain free for ordinary users, but these packages follow the same path as other AI model providers, which charge for additional computing capabilities and more use. Meta said these packages will be expanded in the coming weeks with more benefits for AI glasses users.
Artificial intelligence application plans will begin testing next month, first in Singapore, Guatemala and Bolivia.
Two other plans for content creators and businesses will begin testing this weekend, in markets including Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Thailand and Bangladesh.
