Samsung does not seem to only aim to develop foldable smartphones like Samsung and many other companies.
At the Tech World 2022 event of parent company Huawei, Samsung demonstrated a mobile phone that can be rolled up in a quick trailer video. Just press one button, the screen will expand and take a back-up, with a moving background to suit.
According to Engadget, the trailer shows us a glides away look at the front of the device and the screen surrounding the phone, which can be rolled up from the bottom edge.
The coil screen is a flexible OLED panel, 6.5 inches in size when extended and reduced to less than 4 inches when coiled.
Samsung has not provided any further details about the new smartphone at this time and it is also unclear whether it will ever be released on the market.
The company has launched many flexible products in the past few years without any feasible commercial products to display to it.
