The overall architectural framework of the digital national, issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology under Decision No. 3090/QD-BKHCN, sets a vision to 2035, aiming to build an open national data space, effectively connecting and sharing, serving digital government, digital economy and digital society, while ensuring digital sovereignty and national data security.
In particular, the group of platforms providing basic, shared infrastructure services is identified as the key technical foundation layer, ensuring the overall architecture of the digital country operates synchronously, safely and effectively.
Along with data infrastructure, identification and cybersecurity, Vietnam's national blockchain platform (NDAChain) is included in the national shared digital infrastructure group, serving unified data authentication, traceability and authentication functions across the entire system.
NDAChain - core infrastructure owned by Vietnam
NDAChain is developed by the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the National Data Center (NDC) and the National Data Association (NDA). After a period of continuous development, the platform has completed its technical infrastructure, national standards and core functions. The three-layered architecture of the system is also completed.
By September 2025, NDAChain has been operating a stable trial with 12 authentication buttons (validator) at the National Data Center and strategic partners such as Sun Group, MISA, VNVC, National Bar code Center (NBC) ... ensuring a processing speed of ≥1,200 transactions/second and high stability. The system has recorded more than 5 million authenticated transactions, an average of about 30,000 transactions per day, demonstrating operational capacity on a national scale.
Mr. Huy Nguyen - Head of the National Data Society's Technology Department, said: "Blockchain is shifting from transaction technology to the core infrastructure role of the data economy. With NDAChain, Vietnam not only masters core technology but also creates a unified authentication layer for national data, helping all digital transactions, from public administration to trade, to be transparent and veriitable.
A trusted platform for Vietnam's data economy
Not only technology, NDAChain is considered a trusted platform of the Vietnamese data economy, where all data, transactions and digital assets are authenticated, traced and guaranteed uniformly. The identification mechanisms of authentication traceability digital authentication (DID/VC/VP) deployed on this platform will become the basis for digital asset applications, open data, transparent public services and reliable trade.
From NDATrace in traceability of goods, NDAKey in digital identification, to specialized data systems such as education, healthcare, agriculture, logistics, all are being integrated through NDAChain, forming a "one-time authentication - multiple-use" data connection infrastructure, the core to operate digital government, digital economy and digital society.
In the final period of 2025-2026, NDAChain will expand the authentication nod network (validator nodes) to technology corporations, regional data centers and provinces and cities, forming a cross-regional authentication network with low latency, high loi resistance, and readiness to integrate with industry and field platforms.
