On September 18, feedback appeared on iPhone user communities in Vietnam about the situation that iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max cannot access some banking applications.
According to user Nguyen Truong (Hanoi), the application can still open normally. However, after entering the login name, the application suddenly exited and brought the user back to the iPhone's main screen. According to feedback, this situation was recorded on iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Mr. Truong said that this situation causes inconvenience, because even though he has opened the application, he cannot complete the login step to use banking services. Having to switch to another device or find a way to handle the application also disrupts the transaction process.
Many similar feedbacks have also been recorded on some iPhone user communities in Vietnam.
By the morning of September 19, the above situation had changed when some users said they could access the banking application again on iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
User Nguyen Thi (Hai Phong) said that on the morning of September 19, she contacted the bank to complain and was instructed by staff to check and update the application to the latest version.
This morning I contacted the bank to complain about the login error on iPhone 18 Pro. The bank employee instructed me to delete the current application, then go to the App Store to download it again and update to the latest version," Ms. Thi shared.
According to this user, after performing the instructed steps, the banking application has returned to normal operation.
Many other iPhone 18 Pro Max users also said that they had tried to delete the banking app, reload it and update to the latest version according to the instructions. After that, login and use took place normally.
Through records from contacted users, on the morning of September 19, deleting, reinstalling and updating the banking application to the latest version has helped overcome the situation of not being able to log in on some iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max devices.
There is currently no official information confirming the cause of the incident reflected on September 18.
