On September 19, Cho Quan Ward Police coordinated with Cho Lon Traffic Police Team under the Traffic Police Department (PC08, Ho Chi Minh City Police) to handle the scene and investigate the cause of a car crashing into many motorbikes at the foot of Chu Y bridge.
According to initial information, at about 4 am on the same day, the male driver was driving a 4-seater car on Nguyen Bieu street. When arriving at the area under Chu Y bridge (in front of a pub), the car suddenly rushed forward, hitting many motorbikes parked in front of the pub.
The collision caused motorbikes to be thrown away, lying scattered on the road and on the sidewalk. Some people sitting near this area were hit by motorbikes, causing scratches.
After the incident occurred, the driver reversed the car. At this time, many people inside the pub ran out to block the vehicle, causing an argument and then a scuffle with the male driver.
Cho Quan Ward Police then arrived, taking the related people to the headquarters to check for alcohol and drug concentration.
Cho Lon Traffic Police Team coordinated to regulate traffic and move related vehicles away from the scene.
The cause of the incident is being further investigated and clarified by the police agency.
