Hanoi Department of Construction has just announced traffic organization adjustments at the To Huu - Trung Thu - Trung Van intersection, Dai Mo ward, to reduce congestion and ensure traffic safety, especially during peak hours.
According to the Department of Construction, through monitoring, this intersection area often experiences congestion, posing a potential risk of traffic unsafety. On August 24, the Department coordinated with relevant agencies and units to inspect the current situation and agree on an adjustment plan.
According to the new plan, cars are prohibited from going straight from Trung Thu street to Trung Van street during peak hours.
Cars from Trung Thu street were organized to turn right continuously at the Trung Thu - Trung Van - To Huu intersection. After that, vehicles turned around at the median strip opening point on To Huu street to enter Trung Van street.
Other traffic organization contents continue to be implemented according to the previously issued plan.
The adjustment plan starts to apply from 7:00 AM on September 19, 2026.
To ensure smooth traffic, the Department of Construction assigned the Traffic Department to monitor the situation at intersections and surrounding areas, and coordinate with the Traffic Police Department - City Police to promptly adjust when inadequacies arise.
The Department is also studying to adjust the cycle and traffic lights at intersections and nearby intersections on the To Huu axis, including To Huu - Vu Trong Khanh and To Huu - Le Van Luong, to be consistent with the new traffic organization plan.
The Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board is assigned to adjust and supplement paint lines and signs; and at the same time monitor traffic conditions to propose handling when necessary.
The City Traffic Management and Operation Center will adjust the routes of bus routes to suit the new plan.
The Traffic Police Department - City Police is requested to organize the operation of traffic lights, guide traffic diversion and handle violations at intersections and nearby areas. The People's Committee and Dai Mo Ward Police coordinate to propagate and guide people and organize traffic diversion.
The adjustment aims to reduce congestion and improve traffic safety at the To Huu - Trung Thu - Trung Van intersection and adjacent roads, especially during peak hours.
