The incident of switching to this betting website has caused many concerns in the consumer community. The problem was reported to have started at around 10am and only occurred on the computer web browser version. Meanwhile, access through mobile browsers and Tiki apps is still normal.
Before the redirection error appeared, many users also reported difficulties in accessing both the website and the application of this e-commerce platform.
The Tiki representative then posted a notice on the official Facebook page, confirming that there was a technical problem and the team was trying to fix it.

According to initial research, it is very likely that Tiki's server system has been infected with malware, causing automatic redirection of access to the betting website, however, Tiki's domain name is still controlled and not misappropriated. By the afternoon of May 6, the above situation had been handled and access to both the website and the Tiki application had returned to normal.
Sharing with Lao Dong, Ms. Thu Huong (30 years old, Hanoi) shared: "I am somewhat worried when the website has such an error. Because I like to shop online, I often save payment information on platforms like Tiki. After this, I will remove all information to avoid being affected in case the floors are broken".
Tiki was established in 2010, initially as an online book sales site before expanding to a multi-industry e-commerce platform. However, in recent years, Tiki has encountered many difficulties when having to compete fiercely with big rivals from abroad such as Shopee, TikTok Shop and Lazada. This has caused Tiki's market share to continuously decline.
According to a report from e-commerce data analysis platform Metric in the first quarter of 2025, Tiki's market share in Vietnam has now approached 0%. Previously, YouNet ECI's 2024 summary report also said that Tiki only accounts for 0.9% of the domestic e-commerce market share.
